Unofficial: Lowery, Graft, Eagle victorious

With all precincts reporting as of 8:50 p.m., it appears Mark Lowery will be the next Hood County Judge; and, incumbents Melanie Graft and Dave Eagle will return for another term as district clerk and Precinct 4 commissioner, respectively.

Lowery took 59.46% of the vote (7,538 votes total) over Ron Sutton's 40.54% (5,140).

Graft finished with 71.48% of the vote (8,894%), easily defeating Roberta Zamora who finished with 28.52% (3,549).

Eagle garnered 54.49% of the vote in the commissioner race and avoided a runoff. Kenneth Copeland took 26.61%, while Brad Yarborough took 18.91%.

With 4-of-10 precincts reporting at 8:25 p.m., Mark Lowery has garnered 58.98% (5,681) of the votes for Hood County judge while Ron Sutton sits at 41.02% (3.955).

Melanie Graft still holds her commanding lead for district clerk over Roberta Zamora.

Dave Eagle has taken 53.73% of the vote for Precinct 4 commissioner. However, that number is down slightly from 55.05% following early voting.

Early results

Shortly after 7 p.m. after the polls closed and early voting totals were released, Mark Lowery held a 59.11% lead over Ron Sutton for Hood County judge. Lowery had garnered 4,029 votes to Sutton’s 2,789.

Melanie Graft led in the race for district clerk, with 70.69% of the votes (4,758) to Roberta Zamora’s 29.31% (1,973).

For commissioner of Precinct 4, Dave Eagle was leading the way with 55.05% of the vote (899). Kenneth Copeland was a 27.25% (445), and Brad Yarborough was at 17.70% (289).

Greg Harrell held the lead for county chairman with 66.55% of the votes to Tony Mobly’s 33.45
