Arlene Beavers Brodhead, 84, went to her heavenly home on May 15, 2025.
We will celebrate her life at noon June 14, 2025, in Independence Chapel at Greenwood Funeral Home, 3210 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth. Llight lunch will be shared afterward. She will be interred with her husband, Dan, in Columbarium C at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.
Arlene was born Jan. 15, 1941, to J.L. and Mary Stowers. She was always proud to tell people she had a twin sister named Darlene.
From an early age, Arlene was musically gifted, playing both the piano and accordion. She was the church pianist and had an electronic piano lab on which she could teach piano lessons to five students at the same time. She was also an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed baking specialty cakes. She delighted in sharing her kitchen with her grandchildren, creating lifelong memories.
She received a business management degree in 2001 and had a 20-year career in material management at Lockheed Martin, where she met her husband, Daniel Brodhead. They retired to Granbury, where she continued playing her music and entertaining.
Arlene was preceded in death by her beloved, Daniel Brodhead; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Dinger; twin sister, Darlene Dickey; sister, Maldean Houston; father, J.L. Stowers; mother, Mary Rosie Ruth Young Stowers; son, Justin Brodhead; son-in-law, Britton Jones; and son, Joel Brodhead.
Arlene is survived by daughter, Yondale Mears and husband, James; daughter, Sherry Owens; daughter, Nancy Styron and husband, Brook; son-in-law, Donald Dinger Jr.; daughter, Julie Avila and husband, Jesse; daughters, Liz Taylor and Paula Jones; grandchildren, Brandy Styron, Sarah Floyd, Bryce Styron, Austen Dinger, Michaela Dinger-Elorduy, Jeremy Moore, Danny Moore, Bryan Jones; nine great-grandchildren; and her sister, Ineta Chesher and her husband, Jimmy Chesher.
