Bernard Nelson Jr., 79, passed away Feb. 5, 2025, in Granbury. A visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 15 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Wiley Funeral Home. Service will follow at 10 a.m. at Wiley Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Holly Hills Memorial Park.
Bernard was born Sept. 28, 1945, in Fort Worth to Bernard Earl Nelson Sr. and Ruth Willingham Nelson. Bernard was a retired project manager and a U.S. Army veteran. He and Jean loved traveling mostly on cruises.
Bernard is preceded in death by his wife of 23 years: Jean Nelson; parents: Bernard and Ruth Nelson; daughter: Marisha Nicole Nelson; stepson: Michael Ragan.
Bernard is survived by his sister: Beverly Harvey; stepsons: Ricky Ragan and Tommy Hughes; 11 step-grandchildren: 23 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law: LaJenia Rule.
