Car crash in Acton results in damaged buildings, two people sent to hospital

Posted

A car crash in Acton led to two businesses being damaged and two people were flown to a hospital in Fort Worth. The incident happened around 9 a.m. on Dec. 5.

According to Granbury Chief of Police Mitch Galvan, a 34-year-old female from Granbury was traveling east on Highway 4 and drove through the intersection located at Fall Creek Highway. The woman’s vehicle struck another vehicle sitting in the drive-thru at Acton Donuts before striking the building and traveling through to the business next door, Standpoint Promotions.

Galvan added that the driver had to be extricated from the vehicle and was flown to a hospital. A 13 year old female inside Standpoint Promotions was also injured and flown to a hospital.

Because the driver was flown to a hospital, police were unable to talk to her about the incident.

As of Dec. 8, the 13 year old female was released from the hospital and is now at home with her family.

The investigation is ongoing and the HCN will continue to provide updates as the story develops.
