Clarence Roland Hallonquist 1935 – 2026

Clarence Roland Hallonquist, born Oct. 17, 1935, in Coke, Texas, peacefully passed away Aug. 29, 2026.

Clarence's heart of gold shone through his commitment to his family, who meant the world to him. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his children Rolanda Vines, Billy Hallonquist, Audra Wheeler, Jerrod Hallonquist, Kimberly Boyles, Jeff Bates, David Bates, Leslie Bates and Jason Bates; his twin brother Oland Hallonquist; his sisters Linda Sewell and Doylene Douglas; and his brother Charles Hallonquist. He leaves behind a loving legacy of 29 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Daniel Hallonquist and Jewell Hallonquist; his beloved wife Martha Hallonquist; his brothers Joe Hollinquest and Jimmie Hallonquist; his son Larry Hallonquist; his daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Rodney Miller; and granddaughter, Amber Miller, who lost their lives together in a tragic car accident in 2002.

Clarence was a four-color pressman for Taylor Publishing Company, a job he performed with diligence and dedication; he retired from Taylor Publishing after 47 dedicated years of service. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Clarence was a faithful member of the Granbury Church of God.

Visitation for Clarence will be held Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, from 1 2 p.m., and a funeral service will follow starting at 2 p.m. at the Granbury Church of God, 1106 Weatherford Highway, Granbury, Texas, 76048. Burial will follow at Holly Hills Memorial Park.
