Darlene Byas Ford passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025, at the age of 91.
Darlene was born on July 26, 1933 in San Antonio, Texas to Perry and Merle Dechert.
She was preceded in death by her son, David Byas, and both husbands, Loyd M. Byas and F. Hal Ford.
She is survived by her children: Sheryl Court and husband George, Steve Byas and wife Debi, and daughter-in-law Brenda Byas. Darlene was a proud grandmother to Krista Byas, Jessica Coyle, Matthew Byas, and Whitney Rice.
Darlene worked for the HEB school district and later at Chase Bank in Hurst, Texas. Her passion for connecting with others also led her to the Visitor’s Bureau and Chamber of Commerce in Granbury, where she shared her love of the community with countless others.
In lieu of a funeral, Darlene had a joyful Celebration of Life gathering, held in August 2024, giving her the opportunity to spend meaningful time with her cherished family & friends.
