Deborah Jean Vines (Pifer) passed away peacefully at her home Friday, Feb. 20, 2026. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Sept. 14, 1956, she made Granbury her home, where she met and married her first husband, having a daughter.
Deborah had many friends and a large family. She loved swimming and water skiing. Having a green thumb, she had many plants and a beautiful yard, including a pond with goldfish. Retiring from GISD, she started a cleaning business with her daughter. Later diagnosed with COPD, she again retired and had many more years spending time with friends and family. She is deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by parents, Delta Pankey and Eugen Vines Jr.; brothers, Jerry Cooper and William Cooper; and sister, Linda Vines.
Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Farris (Lickliter) and husband Donny; grandchildren, Maddox, Ethan and Sephria; sisters, Melinda, Nancy, Betty, Mary and Sallie; brother, Clarence; first and second husbands; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
