Diane Lane Alley, 62, passed away Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, in Granbury after a short, valiant fight against cancer. She was born Feb. 2, 1962, in Fort Worth.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28 at Long Creek Cemetery located at 5410 Temple Hall Highway in Granbury.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to the Hood County Animal Shelter in Granbury.
Diane was a Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 530, in Granbury. She attended Waples Methodist Church and committed many years as a legal secretary for a prominent Hood County attorney. Diane enjoyed John Wayne movies, Agatha Christie novels, knitting and spending time with her family during the holidays. She enjoyed attending all the Eastern Star events that she possibly could. She also never missed an opportunity to go to Half Price Bookstores and find her next favorite read. For the last several years, Diane dedicated her time taking care of her elderly grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her father Lee Roy Lane, her mother Carlene Carr Wilson, stepfather Jerry Wilson, and her grandparents William and Sarah Carr.
Diane is survived by her aunt, Wanda and husband George Hines; stepmother Judy Wilson; cousins Tammie Hines, Carson Hines and Samuel Slack; and many other extended family members and dear friends.
