Doris Bivens was born June 17, 1926, in Fort Worth, to the late R.C. and Beatrice Lawing Swaim.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25 at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.
She graduated Polytechnic High School in 1942. She married Richard Bivens Dec. 24, 1950. They lived in Midland before moving to Granbury in 1978.
Doris received the Volunteer of the Year award at age 95 for her service at Ruth’s Place in Granbury. She will be remembered by her contagious laugh and her smile.
She is survived by her daughters Christine Hill, Shelley Hollars, and son Thomas Bivens.
