On Tuesday, December 12th, a retirement reception was held at the GISD Administration Building to celebrate the remarkable career of Dr. Barbara Herrington. The event saw a steady stream of friends, colleagues, and supporters joining GISD. Dr. Herrington has been a trustee at GISD School Board since 2005, and her career in public education spans over 50 years. GISD students prepared and served a delectable and visually pleasing spread of refreshments and snacks to the attendees.
