Giving a ‘bear hug’ to senior citizens

Within the past two weeks, the student council and ambassadors of Acton Elementary have been collecting teddy bears to distribute to a few of the local nursing homes for National Hug Day.

“We had the opportunity to visit a few local nursing homes and deliver the bears to the residents. There were sweet hugs, funny stories, and so many joyful smiles shared along the way! Our students truly showed what service, compassion, and community are all about,” said a post from Acton Elementary about their student’s efforts.
