Granbury offers one-on-one chats with city manager

Do you live within the Granbury city limits and have a question, concern or gripe but don’t want to speak from the podium at a City Council meeting?

If your schedule is open Monday afternoon, you are welcome to go to Granbury City Hall to speak one-on-one with City Manager Chris Coffman.

It’s part of something new the city is trying called “I’d like to speak to the manager, please.”

Monday, Sept. 19, will mark the first of these sessions. No others are scheduled at this time because the city wants to see how it goes.

Future sessions might be scheduled depending on public interest.

According to Communications Manager Jeff Newpher, Coffman will make himself available in the City Council conference room on the second floor of City Hall at 2 p.m. for anyone who would like to speak with him.

If a lot of people show up, the group might move to the larger council chambers.

“There’s no agenda or program,” Newpher said. The session is merely an opportunity for local residents to meet the city manager and speak with him on the topic of their choice.

The purpose of the meeting, Newpher said, is to send the message to the public that “the city is listening.”

Granbury City Hall is located at 116 W. Bridge St.
