Granbury veteran has big plans for small businesses in Hood County

Posted

Kolton Krottinger, a Granbury resident and Navy veteran, has created a group to help and support local entrepreneurs in Hood County. Krottinger suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety from his service.

After facing homelessness post-service, Krottinger turned his life around and became a successful best-selling author and entrepreneur. He created a nonprofit group known as Anxiety of America where he serves as president. Krottinger recently decided to create a space for veterans as an oasis for their mental health at the Blue Branch Historic Ranch under his nonprofit.

Along with the above accomplishments, Krottinger has also has in-depth knowledge in the business realm after the struggles he has faced throughout his life. He taught online courses in basics of business and marketing and worked with hundreds of small and large brands. Krottinger has worked with brands such as General Motors, Netflix, Nestle, Hasbro, The Dallas Cowboys and many more. He also has a ton of experience with social media and currently reaches around 10 million people via social media.

“I want to share all the knowledge that I have with Hood County businesses free of charge,” Krottinger told the HCN. “I am committed to having this (group) be a free community for entrepreneurs to work together and grow, no matter what size or income level. I plan on this being the go-to for small business in Hood County.”

Krottinger posted his idea for the group on Facebook and has had over 200 small businesses sign up in less than 48 hours.

His goal is to teach these business leaders how to get more customers and keep them coming back. There will be monthly meetups and newsletters as well as various experts to come speak. He is in the process of building a 4,000 square foot building that will house Hood County entrepreneurs with a full event venue, offices, recording studio and more. The office will be located at the Blue Branch Historic Ranch.

“I’m not the absolute expert but I have a lot to offer, and I know there are tons of seasoned entrepreneurs that will join that have a lot to offer as well,” Krottinger said. “I’m simply creating the platform for everyone to come together.”
