Granbury Wine Society to host Wine Stroll during Harvest Moon Festival

Posted

For the first time ever, the Granbury Wine Society has been invited to host a Wine Stroll during the Harvest Moon Festival of the Arts on Saturday, Oct. 28 and Sunday, Oct. 29.

The stroll will take place from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Oct. 28 and from noon to 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 29.

“We’re excited about the wine component, the first ever, being added to the annual Granbury Harvest Moon Art Festival, now in its 45th year,” said Vickie DiGiovanni, president of the Granbury Wine Society. “The Wine Stroll allows guests to casually stroll up and down the rows of artists’ tents, preview the many different art media on display — of course available for purchase — while enjoying the variety of wines being offered. Unlike typical wine walks, each guest will enjoy a glass of wine vs. a taste from the wineries present.”

The ticket bearer will receive two 2-ounce pours of wine from each of the six participating wineries, a commemorative glass, (while supplies last) and a punch ticket for their wine tasting.

Bottles of wine will be available for purchase from each winery (no warehouse pickup).

All members of a party must check in together and must be 21, with proof of a valid ID.

Tickets are $45 each and can be used for either or both days of the festival.

There is no charge for the art festival.

Free parking will be available with a trolley service to the square from Hewlett Park and other designated locations.
