The Lipan Indians and Lady Indians held their annual basketball tournament in honor of Herman D. Howard, a beloved Lipan community member, Dec. 5-7. Schools from all across Texas came to participate in the tournament. The Tolar Rattlers and Lady Rattlers were just some of the teams that participated. The Indians came in second after a loss against the Kountze Lions with a score of 74-37. The Lady Indians also finished second to the Farwell Steers with a score of 42 -24. The Lady Rattlers finished fourth in the tournament after a 49-35 loss against the Idalou Wildcats. The Rattlers finished third in the bronze bracket after beating the Zephyr Bulldogs by a score of 54-31.
