James Cecil McLellan 1931 – 2025

James Cecil McLellan, the youngest child of Grady and Abbie Lee McLellan, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day, Dec. 25,  surrounded by his loving wife, Arlene and close family members.

Funeral services for James will be held 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, at the Martins Funeral Home, 100 S. Morgan St., in Granbury. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m., at Greenwood Cemetery in Fort Worth, with Military Rites.

James was born on Oct. 14, 1931, in his hometown of Milton, Florida. He lived a life marked by his strong faith and devotion to God, exemplary career military service, exceptional work ethic, love of country, and a deep, abiding love for his family.

James is survived by his loving wife Alta Arlene McLellan, his daughters Marchale Silcox, Vickie Coogle, Donna Calvert, Carol Westmoreland, Tracie Annette Harrison, stepsons Jimmy and David Batterton, grandchildren, Joey Silcox, Chad Calvert, Megan Ashfield, Lexi Gates, and great-grandchildren, Iris Marie Calvert, and Steven Ashfield; and by his older sister Abbie Jean Weekly, 95 of Milton, Florida.

James was preceded in death by his two older brothers William (Bill) and Norman McLellan.
