In Loving Memory of Paula Ann Cardona. Paula Ann Stevens Cardona, 73, Granbury, Texas, passed away peacefully June 1, 2026, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Born on Fb. 12, 1953, in Dallas, Texas, Paula lived a life filled with compassion and service to others. She was the beloved wife of 47 years to her husband, The Rev. David Walton Cardona, whose love and devotion were the foundation of a life well lived.

She is survived by her loving husband David; her brother, Larry (Sharon) Stevens; two nephews; her three children, Theodore (Michele), Sarah (Jay) and Philip; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Virgil Odell Stevens and Minnie Oneida Whitfield Stevens.

Throughout her life, Paula dedicated herself to caring for others. She worked for 20 years as a dental assistant, where she formed lasting relationships with patients and colleagues alike. She later served as a manager at an independent living facility in Granbury, where her compassion, patience, and genuine concern for residents made a meaningful difference in countless lives. She also worked as a bank teller at First National Bank in Granbury, where customers and coworkers appreciated her friendly smile and welcoming spirit.

A two-time cancer survivor, Paula faced life's challenges with remarkable strength, courage and determination. Her resilience inspired all who knew her and reflected the grace with which she approached every chapter of her life.

Paula was known for her wonderful sense of humor and her ability to bring laughter into any room. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially caring for her beloved dogs, tending to her chickens, and nurturing her many plants and gardens. Her home was a place of warmth, comfort, laughter and love. She touched the lives of many through her kindness, generosity, and genuine care for others. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Paula’s funeral service will be Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Anglican Church in Acton, Texas. There will be a reception in the Parish Hall after the service.
