Texas history recently came to life at Acton Cemetery with the annual Walk Thru History event. Every year on the third weekend in May the Texas Hero’s Foundation hosts a celebration of the birth of the Republic of Texas by commemorating the signing of the Treaties of Velasco in May 1836. The Texas Heros Foundation honored historical people and events from the North Texas area with educational living history presentations about William Travis, David Crockett, Sam Houston and many more.
