She was an incredible, kind, dedicated woman who was truly the pillar of the family. Ramona was born April 21, 1929, in Callaway, Minnesota (White Earth) and then her family moved to Draper, Minnesota. She graduated from Greenway High School. Later she met and married her beloved husband, Theodore, and from there they moved to Texas and Hawaii then to Long Island, New York, where Theodore retired, before making their home in Granbury.
She was known for being solid in her faith and her love for her family, for her amazing artistic ability, and for being her family’s bright and shining matriarch. She dutifully attended St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church and was a dental assistant for more than 30 years. She had a strong love for family, reading, painting and growing things. Her personality was warm and affectionate, and she will be sorely missed by all those who knew her.
She has gone home to heaven to meet her husband: Theodore; parents Joseph and Mary Ladoux; brothers Lawrence and Bill LaDoux; sisters Elizabeth Applebee, Gladys Merhar and Evelyn Mollegren.
Ramona is survived by her sister Carol Simonson; sons Theodore Nordin and wife Donna, Nels Nordin and John Nordin; daughters Penny Applewhite and Lynn English and her husband Richard English; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
