Rattlers stay on roll, downing Whitewright, 61-0

The seventh-ranked Tolar Rattlers smashed the Whitewright Tigers by a 61-0 count Thursday night (Nov. 10) in their bi-district football playoff game played in Springtown, keeping their perfect season alive at 11-0.

In the area playoff round next week, head coach Jeremy Mullins’ District 5-2A Division I Rattlers will play either Marlin or Rio Vista. Those two teams are set to play their bi-district playoff game Friday, Nov. 11 at West High School (7 p.m. kickoff).

Whitewright, which was the fourth-place team out of District 6-2A Division I, finished its season with a 4-7 overall record.
