Sandra Gale Land Arrington 1946 - 2025

Sandra Gale Land Arrington of College Station was called home to heaven Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025. She was born July 13, 1946, in Dayton, Ohio, to Jesse Alvin Land and Betty Jane Helton.

Sandra raised her family in Piedmont in the Brazos Valley, where she made a successful career as an insurance agent using her bright smile, charm and big personality. After retiring from insurance, she worked as a concierge at the Carriage Inn in College Station for 17 years greeting residents, their families, and coworkers with a warm smile and caring spirit. Her tenacity was demonstrated in her later years as she overcame a stroke and breast cancer with the support of her loved ones.

She will always be remembered by her family for her love of cooking, particularly during the holidays, when she would prepare large meals using cherished family recipes that brought everyone together.

Sandra’s legacy of love, strength, and warmth will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Sandra was preceded in death by her mother and father, brothers Larry Wayne Land, William Franklin “Bill” Land, Donald Earl “Donnie” Land and beloved daughter Jennifer Gale Arrington.

She is survived by her children, Rhonda Comeau of Glen Rose, Sheila Vezurk of Anderson, Blake Arrington of Iola and Patricia Daley of Anderson; grandchildren Ryan Anzaldua-Russo and Benjamin Russo of Arlington, Justin Wright, Lauren Desormeaux, Brittany Pino and Jessica Comeau, all of Glen Rose, Brent Blinka of San Angelo, Anthony Comeau of Commerce, Corley Kindt of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Paul Henry III of Anderson, Dylan Kempenski of Bremond and Kayla Driver of Katy; great-grandchildren Kaylei Russo, Braelyn Desormeaux, Joseph Desormeaux, Linndee-Jae Desormeaux, Carson Murphy, Abigale Damuth and Jerek Damuth; brother, Robert Land of Hempstead and many nieces and nephews.
