A 35-year-old man from Frisco who fled in the vehicle he was driving when Hood County Sheriff’s Office deputies attempted to make a traffic stop was eventually taken into custody when the pursuit ended in a Jan. 9 one-vehicle crash, according to Lt. Johnny Rose.
James Lloyd Griffin Jr. was uninjured in the crash, Rose said. He was arrested on a third-degree felony count of evading arrest in a motor vehicle and placed in the Hood County Jail, Rose said via email.
The deputies tried to get Griffin to pull over for a traffic stop at about 11 p.m. on Highway 377 East at Fall Creek Highway when he fled, according to Rose.
“Griffin was not injured in the one-car accident and was arrested by deputies,” Rose stated in the email, which noted that the crash happened on Highway 377 near the intersection with Temple Hall Highway.
