Sheriff's Office: Man arrested, facing six felony charges

A news release sent to the Hood County News from the Hood County Sheriff’s Office states:

"On Friday, 12-30-2022 at about 2:29 p.m., members of the Hood County Sheriff’s Office, Granbury Police Department and U.S. Marshal’s Service arrived at a residence in the 5900 block of Hunterwood Drive Granbury, Hood County to serve a search warrant for Richard Anthony Metten (32) of Granbury who was reported to be armed and had 6 felony warrants for his arrest, which were as follows:

- Capias Aggravated Robbery, 1st Degree Felony, Bond $100,000

- Capias Aggravated Sexual Assault, 1st Degree Felony, Bond $200,000

- Delivery of a Controlled Substance to Minor, 2nd Degree Felony, no bond set yet

- Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, 1st Degree Felony, no bond set yet

- Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, 1st Degree Felony, no bond set yet

- Continuous Trafficking of a Child, 1st Degree Felony, no bond set yet

"Once on scene, Metten was determined to be inside the residence with a female, identified as Deanna Nicole Sherrouse (20) of Granbury. As entry was being made into the residence, Metten ran out the back door in an effort to avoid being arrested, however even after jumping several fences he was taken into custody and booked into the Hood County Jail on the above warrants.

"During the investigation, it was determined that Sherrouse had been hindering the apprehension of Metten at which time she was placed under arrest for Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution, which is a 3rd degree felony and no bond has been set yet."
