Waunell Bennett, 94, passed away at her home with her family by her side on Sunday, Dec.14, 2025. She was born on Sept. 10, 1931, in Hood County, Texas, to Earl and Esther Porter.
Waunell was a member of Baker Baptist Church and the Granbury Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #530.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Bennett; and her four brothers, Earl Porter Jr., Luther Garland Porter, Marvin Whalon Porter and Glenn Edwin Porter; and great-granddaughter, Arwen Collier.
Waunell is survived by her three children, Vicki (Randy), Gary (Claudia, and Charlotte (Chad); nine grandchildren, Amy (Glenn), Bradley (Fleur), Janet (Jeremy), Patti (Brent), Jeffrey (Kayla), Lauren, Bailey, Alexandria (Payton), and Mary; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
