A 56-year-old Weatherford man was arrested in possession of 7.9 grams of methamphetamine on Oct. 31 by members of the Hood County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit conducting a drug investigation, according to Lt. Johnny Rose.
The deputies made a traffic stop at about 4 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 4 and Acton Highway, Rose noted, stating, “During the stop Anthony Joe Gowan was found to be in possession of 7.9 grams of meth.”
Gowan was arrested and charged with a first-degree felony count of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, Rose stated.
The suspect’s bail was set at $50,000, Rose added.
