The Granbury Lady Pirates volleyball team split matches last week.
Granbury senior setter LoLo Schroeder reached a milestone by enjoying 1,500 assists in her career.
The Lady Pirates swept Brewer 25-9, 25-8, 25-14. Kaitlyn McCabe and Courtney Smith were praised for outstanding play.
The Granbury subvarsities won in three sets: JV 25-18, 14-25, 25-21; freshman Purple 25-20, 21-25, 2 5-16; and freshman Gold 22-25, 25-14, 25-23.
Azle defeated Granbury in four sets 22-25, 25-14, 25-23, 26-24. The Lady Pirates played “lights-out defense,” praised coaches who singled out McCabe.
