A Brawner Elementary School student is receiving professional medical care following an accident Thursday afternoon during school pickup.
According to a notice on social media from Brawner Principal Sandy Ruiz, a student was crossing the road with a parent on April 11, when they were hit by a vehicle.
Currently, the student is “conscious,” and “alert.”
Ruiz said she wishes to thank the Granbury Police Department and Texas EMS for their “immediate response and care for the student.”
“We will update you once we have more information,” she said. “Please keep your thoughts and prayers with the student and family.”
She also asked students and parents to please refrain from using “undesignated drop off areas,” like the church parking lot, front of the school, or any area that does not have a crosswalk to “ensure student and family safety.”
