On Thursday, May 7th, a worship, prayer gathering, and inspirational concert was held on the grounds surrounding the Historic Courthouse Square in observance of the National Day of Prayer. United States Congress designates this day, and it falls on the first Thursday of May every year when people are encouraged to turn to God in prayer and meditation. Communities throughout the nation come together on this day to honor our Lord in prayer for their community, state, nation, and the world.
