Rattlers drop first regular-season game since 2021

The Tolar Rattlers lost their first regular-season contest since 2021 on Friday, Sept. 8 when they fell at home to two-time defending Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools Division III state champion Dallas Christian, 37-6.

The Rattlers, ranked third in the state this season in Class 2A Division I, last lost in the regular season at Crawford, 19-7, on Oct. 1, 2021. They were 10-0 last regular season en route to a 13-1 overall record and the best season in team history.

The Rattlers are playing without standout running back Peyton Brown, who is expected to be out for most of the regular season with an ankle injury.

Tolar (2-1) will next play at Comanche (3-0) on Friday, Sept. 15 at 7:30 p.m.
