The Tolar Rattlers (11-1) are in the third round of the Class 2A Division I playoffs where they will be back at Lumpkins Stadium to meet upstart Italy (7-5) Friday, Nov. 24, at 3 p.m. This is the same stadium where Tolar defeated Cayuga 60-0 in the area round on Thursday, Nov. 16.
Italy is coming off a 55-19 victory against DeLeon in the area round after knocking off Crawford 27-18 in bidistrict. Tolar downed Trenton 57-12 in bidistrict.
This is the third consecutive season in which the Rattlers have advanced to the third round. Last season they moved on one more round to the state quarterfinals before finishing 13-1 for the best season in team history.
