Pete Hartgraves, who moved to Granbury in 2021, just published his third children’s book “Gail the Tattle-Tale Snail” last summer — the first book in an estimated 16-book series. 

Hood County is gearing up for its 69th annual Junior Livestock Show that will take place Jan. 9 through the 13, put on by the Hood County Junior Livestock Raisers Association. The free five-day event at the Reunion Grounds gives students from around the county the chance to show off their skills from working directly with animals to all kinds of knowledge of livestock identification and much more.
